    Story

Lagan Valley Regional Park manages and protects Northern Irelands only Regional Park, which is also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area receives around 1.4million users annually and is managed by a small team of 4 staff with volunteer support. The area is a beautiful riverside park linking the cites of Lisburn and Belfast. This year we face drastic losses in the services we can provide in terms of protection and management due to changes in government funding. The Environment Department are only able to provide 25% of the funding received in previous years and we are seeking a range of options to diversify our funding strategy.
