    Story

I have now finished cycling 7000km from Ecuador to Buenos Aires in Argentina.
This huge undertaking alone is something to be proud of.
Further still, to increase my understanding of how these people live on a daily basis, I am doing the entire journey without money.
From Ecuador I was accepting the odd coin people were offering, or money I found in the streets. When I got to the coast in Camana, I was sexually assaulted on the beach. This was the most difficult emotional, and tortuous situation that I have ever had to contend with.
I am, however, determined to carry on with the support from my close friends and family, I could not do this without their support.
This is unfortunately something that is not uncommon with lone female travellers.
From Camana I will continue cycling without even touching a single penny until I reach Buenos Aires, begging for my food and shelter!
From my experience on the beach, I know now just how dangerous it is to travel alone and so I have decided to make the difficult decision to make my safety a priority and will not cycle on my own from this point further.
I have my fiancé cycling with me for now and going forward from that, Ness Knight.
For the final leg, my sister, Claire Sweeten has offered to accompany me.

Please Donate to Operation South America who give food to over 70 children every day and care for 25 girls from broken or abused backgrounds, I want to raise as much money as possible to support this charity so they can continue to give food and shelter to so many deserving children and hopefully increase the amount of children they can help.

I am cycling 7500km across South America with no money so I can try to understand the struggles these young children go through. It won't come close to the truth of how they live their lives but it will give me an insight into the struggles of a life lived in poverty.
