On Thursday 14th July my Grandad went into cardiac arrest at a Nelson FC training session while watching my younger cousin Jack. While waiting for an ambulance Kevin Brown a Nelson FC player performed CPR on my grandad and saved his life. Thanks to his amazing actions my grandad is still here today recovering in Blackburn Hospital. He owes Kevin his life, without his actions he certainly wouldn't have been here and there would have been a huge hole in our family. We cannot even begin to thank him, manager Phil Eastwood and the team for everything they did. We've set up this just giving page as a way to show our appreciation to Nelson FC. They will be putting the money raised towards a defibrillator for the team and fans.
