Myself and two friends are going out to Idomeni on Ist April to help my brother Paul who has set up a kitchen with a team of Volunteers from the UK. They have been working for 3 months in Calais and are now in Idomeni where the situation is very difficult. People are starving , cold and hungry.
We would like to take as much money as we can with us to help them in what they are doing.
There are 13000 or more refugees who have escaped the war in Syria. Most of them have crossed over the sea in dangerous boats risking life and limb and losing loved ones in the process. They were travelling to

European countries like Germany who promised asylum but now the Macedonians and other countries have closed their border and they can't get to their husbands and other family members who have gone before. They feel they have been abandoned by Europe and the politicians don't care.The terrible situation of families split up and grieving for what they have lost means they are reliant on agencies and volunteers to help them until a solution is found by governments which will help them.
They are desperate for a resolution. Many of the systems being reported are not working. They are being asked to register by Skype which doesn't work and if you are in a field with nothing seems impractical.

My brother and his team are feeding 3000+ people a hot meal every day. It is costing 650 euros a day to do that.
We will be helping by preparing food and serving out the meals and doing whatever we can to support the refugees while we are there.
