Story
On 8th September 1990, York City player David Longhurst sadly passed away while playing for the club in a home game against Lincoln City.
In memory of David, the Shipton Street end of Bootham Crescent was re-named the David Longhurst Stand.
After being up for a number of years, the sign on the roof of the stand is now old and beyond repair and is in desperate need of a replacement.
This Crowd Funding campaign is to raise the £1,500 necessary to pay for a new sign and have it installed.
Any donations you can give would be massively appreciated as we try to keep David's memory alive in an appropriate way, and also to make our Bootham Crescent home as presentable as we can before the move to our new Community Stadium in 2018.
