Story
We would like for Mama Masika's legacy to live on and the good work she started through her safehouse to continue.
Mama Masika was a womens' rights activist, who dedicated her life to helping survivors of rape-in-conflict before passing away on the 2nd February 2016, due to malarial complications.
She created a support centre and farming schemes in her community in eastern DR Congo in order to assist survivors of rape, their children and orphans.

8 years agoThe Democratic Republic of Congo lost a hero this week. Rebecca Masika Katsuva, a women’s rights activist who dedicated her life to helping rape victims in eastern Congo, passed away unexpectedly on February 2nd Rebecca Masika Katsuva Expand Rebecca Masika Katsuva.
