As the first anniversary of Guardsman Ben Regan approaches , our thoughts are turning to providing a lasting memorial for this talented rugby player and soldier.
We are planning to position a hand crafted bench and plaque just within the grounds of Priory Park near to where Ben lost his life last year. We hope it will become a place of peace and reflection for his friends and family.
Secondly we would like to be able to provide a trophy to Dorking Rugby Club for at an annual memorial match, in which the club compete against a team from the Colestream Guards. We would also like to provide something for the club house in Ben's memory.
Finally any monies raised above this will go to a new Veterans and Family drop in service which is currently under development in Merstham.
