Hiya my names marie and this time 12 months ago I was forced to declare myself homeless with my 5 year old daughter. Liverpool city council put me in touch with the belvidere family centre in L8 and I would like to raise some money to show the appreciation I have, I had almost given up hope when I was badly let down, I didnt know which way to turn... the staff in the belvedere family centre made me believe in myself again. They are there 24/7 365 days a year. I'm not going to pretend it was easy because it wasn't. I had my ups and downs, I had nights where I would sit up with the staff for hours, and they would just listen to my problems, they would try and cheer me up when I was crying and upset they would help and guide me, they truly are a God send. I want to raise money for people who are unfortunate just like I was, but also make people aware that people can become homeless for lots of different reasons. Some people just need a helping hand in life and the rest they will do themselves xxxx

I now have a beautiful home, a car, an amazing job and I am so proud of myself and what I have achieved over the past few months :-)

Please donate, even if it's just a pound, all proceeds raised will go to the belvedere family centre and the Whitechapel to help others like me who want to make something in there lives when things get tough

I'm also aiming to raise awareness that homelessness can happen to anyone at anytime, its not just people addicted to alcohol and drugs, some people are just unfortunate and things happen in there lives that they can't change.
