In January of 2016 my mum, Elena Rodionova, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. To give a bit of context, ovarian cancer is one of those that go from stage 1 to stage 3 or 4 in a very short period of time. She has undergone several sessions of chemo, some of which have proved to be near fatal as the medicine she has been given has caused severe allergic reactions. The problem is that she does not fit the criteria to receive the safest type of medicine for her, as it is not given to NHS patients, and she does not qualify. This leaves us no other choice than to pay for it, which is around £8000. As her daughter, I can't continue to watch my mum go through chemo without a certainty that she will make it out of each session. This is the reason I am starting this fundraiser.

I will not however be asking for donations without an outcome. At the end of this I plan on shaving my head completely, both in support of my mum and to raise awareness of her condition. Though there is obviously no pressure for anyone to donate, every little bit does help and my family would be so grateful for any support we receive.
