Please help me raise funds for my upcoming volunteer work in Cambodia!

I will be travelling to Phnom Penh in September as part of the City University Speech and Language Project. The project aims to improve the services available to individuals with speech, language & communication needs in Cambodia. Each year newly qualified Speech & Language Therapists from City University are sent to Cambodia to provide practical support and training to empower local staff to offer basic speech & language therapy. The project continues to run because despite an estimated 600,00 people in Cambodia with communication difficulties, healthcare provision for these needs is extremely rare.

My role will be as part of the schools team. We will be training staff in a range of schools including schools for children and young people with learning disabilities.

The project is entirely self-funded, we are required to raise money for resources (e.g. assessment material, therapy tools, information packages, toys & books), board and lodge, flights & transportation to and from schools in Cambodia & interpreters. Any donations will be so appreciated and I will keep you up to date on my blog I will be writing about the experience!
