Story
The Park Life Cafe at St James Park in Southampton was broken into early morning on Monday 14th July 2014. Doors and windows were smashed in and tills, computers and stock were all stolen causing thousands of pounds worth of damage. The cafe was forced to close for two days which meant a loss of revenue for the cafe during its busiest time of year.

Thank you all so much for your amazing response! After Justgiving have taken their 5% fee and the card processing fees have been deducted we raised a fantastic £1770 for the cafe! It is really quite an incredible effort. It all started with a conversation in the cafe just two days after the incident when we were wondering what we could do to help. We never guessed that the response from the community would be so brilliant and it was great to see social media being used as a force for good for once. Hopefully now the cafe can get their alarm system and CCTV upgraded to prevent something like this from ever happening again. Thank you all very much for your support xxx
