Hello everyone!

Please help us raise funds for the Raft Foundation, a fantastic constituted community group formed in 2012 to serve and support the community of Rossendale, Lancashire.
Our projects currently include the provision and delivery of an independent 100% volunteer led and managed foodbank service collecting donations and delivering to households throughout the Rossendale Valley.
275,000 meals delivered to date including fresh items, baby and household essentials, pet food and extras on special dates like Christmas, Easter, birthdays and Eid. An average of 180 volunteer hours are gifted each week promoting neighbourliness, Giving, Sharing, Hope and connections within our community. We are much more than just a food bank.
Ideas supported in to action have grown in to associated work including the now annual connecting communities at Christmas activities which this year included a Christmas party attended by 130 adults and children, the annual walking football tournament promoting health through physical & social activity, Homeless Ruck sack pack and so much more.

Our team is competing in the Gung-ho! 5K inflatable fun run based in Heaton park, Manchester on 30th April. Our team of 16 will support each other to complete the course with the shared aim of raising awareness of the Raft foundation, raising much needed funds and having fun. We will be competing as a team going through obstacles such as the Labyrinth, thriller and many more.
All sponsorship funds raised will go towards supporting the ongoing work of the Raft Foundation. For example £6000 minimum has to be raised each year to maintain the fresh food element of the food parcel standard we have developed and maintained – promoting Health & Hope.
