Story
Ribbon Circus, Hebden Bridge's much-loved haberdashery run by Helen Baron and Caroline Burton has been completely destroyed. They are in dire circumstances & the shop will need extensive refurbishment if they are to re-open.
This famous photo of the floods was taken by Helen from their balcony & used all over the world without attribution. If everyone who shared it chucks in a quid, they'll be back on their feet in no time.

8 years agoI'm delighted to report that work has began on Ribbon Circus to refurbish it. The shop is also being made more flood resilient - the electrics are being raised, there will be lots of tiling that can be hosed down & moveable furniture that can be easily lifted out of danger.
