Story
I had the pleasure of visiting the Amazon Rainforest earlier this year. On the trip, we visited the small Sao Jose school that has been built on an island in the river. The school serves the local communities & children are brought in by boat. The wonderful teacher, Maria, who for the past 10 years or so has brought knowledge, care and hope to these underprivileged children. She teaches several classes a day across all age groups, she used to drive the boat to collect the kids as well :)
