Story
We (myself and Danny from Grandads Front Room Community Company) are hoping to raise £500 towards a light and bubble sensory tube to go in our sensory hut. All children love these but we have quite a few severely disabled children visit us and they cannot play with some of our other toys so we hope this will enhance their visit to us. Our plan is a complete overhaul of the hut, wheelchair accessible, blacked out area with bubble tubes and light strands and sensory equipment for all to use. We think this will cost around £5,000 in total including adapting the current hut, laying decking all around to make it accessible and kitting out with sensory equipment. We are hoping to lose 5 stone between us, 1.5 for me and 3.5 for Danny roughly but we will see how it goes! wish us luck x

I'm a Mum of 4 boys, 2 with special needs, in April this year we opened our home to the community & families with special needs children. Its often hard to find places as a parent/carer that you can go out to & relax with SN children so we tried to create a special place.
