    Story

Situated in beautiful grounds just outside of the centre of Chertsey, The Orchard provides an ideal environment for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia. The staff at the centre are committed to providing stimulating and sensitive care that maintains the dignity of the clients. It is a vital resource for both clients and families, as there are proven benefits of stimulating care delaying the progress of this devastating condition.

The Alzheimer's Society are proposing to close the centre at the end of September. We simply can not let this happen. Dementia & Azheimer's is forecast to rise to over 1 million cases by 2025 and centres like the Orchard will increasingly be in demand.

Having developed a detailed costings analysis, the centre is viable and will be self funding. However we need substantial amount of funds to get the centre up and running.

Please click through the pages of this site to find out more about the Centre, its work, the people and what we are hoping to achieve (most of the site is still under construction, so please bear with us).

If you are able to, please click on the link above to donate via our crowd funding page. Alternatively you contact us through the 'what can I do to help' page.

Thanks to all who have donated and lent us support so far. We had a terrific day at the Black Cherry Fair on Saturday (9/7). We raised nearly £500 on the day and also made some invaluable contacts. Special thanks to Chertsey Rotary club for being so supportive, and to everyone who helped on the day and baked some fabulous cakes
