Story
In November 2013 Carl Buxton tried to take his own life. By some miracle he survived that day. He had 2 shattered legs, 2 broken arms and 3 crushed vertebrae in his spine. He was in hospital for nearly 12 months where he received treatment for both his physical injuries and mental state. In the 12 months after that he learned how to walk again. Fixing himself physically was a massive achievement, however trying to conquer his mental battles was a different story. Some days you could chat to him and it was as if nothing was wrong, being the happy guy that he was. Other days he would be so depressed that he would lock himself away from the world. He suffered with mental illness for 3 years.
In the last few months of his life he decided to start writing a book. I have decided to put the first paragraph on this page to give his friends, family, people who helped him, and for them who are interested, a little insight and understanding to what was going on in his head. Im sure that was his intention´s so I'm sure he won't mind. He named the book..
Paranoid Mind State
"In 2013 I went through the rise and fall of myself, both physically and mentally and most importantly I went through positive thinking, wisdom thinking and thinking smart to a complex paranoid mind state, psychosis, depression, negative and habit thinking and came across the most mentally draining few months of my life. I am going to tell you the story of my mind state at the time and still ongoing."
Unfortunatly Carl never finished the book as he sadly passed away on the 19th April from a collision with a car on the A6, coincidently just down the road from where he tried to take his life in 2013.
I hope this story has helped you understand Carls struggle over the last 3 years. And made you aware of the reality and how devastating mental illness can be. Your donations will be distributed to different mental health charities and support teams.
Thank you
