We want to replace our battered old pool table as our group of adults with learning disabilities enormously enjoy this activity and some of them are really good players. It also provides an alternative activity when a small group of SYMO members are occupied with making award-winning films.

I first set up SYMO in 2001 as a means for disabled people to express their frustrations and aspirations through film, a medium which many of them had previously been excluded from. As a disabled artist myself, I am passionate about using the arts as a means of social change.
