    Story

"Stave House in the Sahara" aims to establish music education as part of the primary school curriculum in the Saharawi refugee camps (SW Algeria). The camps are home to 150,000 refugees who have been stranded in the desert for 40 years.

Working with ethnomusicologist Violeta Ruano, Stave House is raising funds to run a 3-month pilot to:
    - Teach music to a group of 30 children
    - Train a group of local teachers
    - Give basic English language skills
    - Explore future avenues for the project
