On Saturday May 28th, ProClinical’s Managing Director, Martin Grindrod and life sciences recruiter Gavin Ong will be taking part in Singapore’s midnight marathon, Sundown, and need your help to raise funds for Asia-based charity, Action4Diabetics (A4D).

The pair will embark upon the gruelling 21.1 kilometres half-marathon, which begins at 11.30pm and will run through until in the early hours of the morning. Their motivation? Raising essential funds that will go towards providing life-saving support for young people with Type 1 Diabetes in emerging countries in Asia.

More than half of the 400 million living with Diabetes today live in Asia. A4D aims to significantly reduce the suffering of, and increase the life opportunities for young people with Type 1 Diabetes with an initial focus is on specific South East Asian nations, where young people with diabetes are unable to access the medical care and other essential support required to enable them to survive and thrive into adulthood.
