Thank you to all who donated money or belongings, we appreciate your help & glad you could be a part of the it. We were able to meet new people coming into the camps in Dunkerque mainly from Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria and gave them new tents, sleeping bags, clothes & food which were well needed - donated or bought with your donations. We also went to the 'Jungle’ with donations, our time and solidarity, which was well received. A wonderful feeling of hospitality and respect from both our sides. Many of the people were from Sudan, Eritrea, Iraq and many more. We distributed food with L’Auberge des Migrants. Food will always be needed there, hot meals are not often enough. The group ‘Calais in October’ would all like to go back, we will plan our next convoy soon, if you would like to come along too then contact us.
