The Creative CORE Project is a non-profit organisation offering vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, creative opportunities to explore and gain new skills.

We offer recurrent positive opportunities to learn new skills and showcase the young people's ideas aiming to help nurture confidence as they gain an opportunity to respect and empower themselves with their new capabilities.

We as creative film and theatre professionals have been working with young people since 2005. Our artistic work with young people has constantly convinced us that creative work can have a very positive effect in channelising and exploring the potential of today’s young people. Due to the fact that there are recent cuts towards funding for young people's initiative there has been a decline in opportunities for them. Our candidates make avail of this service for free with us volunteering.

The young people will produce different creative outcomes using several techniques and mediums as a response to the several briefs, eg. music videos, performances, etc. The visual outcome will of each term time project will be on https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWm9rnu The young people gain more long term benefits with life changing skills, greater confidence enabling positive decision making, team-work and individual responsibility to oneself and the community as a whole.

Based on everyone involved volunteering their time, we need to raise £4725 to make it possible to run 24 term time weeks of after school club and 1 full week of Summer Camp. This amount covers unavoidable costs such as space hire, insurance, equipment hire, material costs, transport, website hosting, promotional material, printing costs to name a few expenses. To make this project accessable to more vulnerable young people we would need either more donations to pay professionals or volunteers.
