I am trying to fund surgery to repair double abdominal incisional hernias that currently cause me excruciating 24hr debilitating pain.

I currently have absolutely no quality of life, I cannot interact with my children or partner, I can not work any more, I am in so much pain 24hrs a day I am usually in tears, sometimes I think I would rather not be here than live with the pain all the time. It is causing so much depression.

The NHS are not willing to do the surgery because of their budgets, the surgeon keeps moving the goal posts every time I have an outpatients appointment.

Firstly I was too big for the surgery at 18st. I was told to lose 10kg before I would be considered. I have currently lost 15kg and still loosing.

Then after loosing the weight the hospital said I could not have it due to anaesthetic issues with my weight, however, the anaesthetist said she was more than happy to provide the surgery from the anaesthetic point of view and at my BMI she was no where near worried, however, the surgeon was still not willing.

I am being pushed from pillar to post at Bradford Royal Infirmary who seem to be penny pinching by not allowing me to have this life changing, possible life saving surgery.

If my bowel was to twist within the hernia (strangulate) then the bowel would die, if my bowel dies so could I.

Privately, at a private hospital, they are more than happy to do the surgery which would costs around £5,500 due to the size.

I can say now, that each and every penny raised/donated to my cause would be repaid to the donor in full, it may take a few years to save and repay but save and repay I will do. I will make it my life's goal to repay every penny with a worlds worth of gratitude and thanks.

If my target is not reached, I will make sure every penny is refunded
