Story
The people of Listi need you! But first I'm going to do something a bit tough and manly to inspire you to sponsor...
The notorious Three Peak challenge will be conquered by myself and a mate 18th of June. The highest peaks in Scotland England and Wales -Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon - will all be summited in under 24 hours! Three mountains, three countries, 500 miles of road and two nutjobs doing a good deed.
Training on the mountains in Otago has been intense, adventurous and dangerous at times! But what better than a mountain challenge to honour Nepal, the home of the Himalayas..
Listi is a village in Nepal flattened by the earthquake last April. The people here are homeless, the kids are school-less. Everyone is desperate.
Listi is 90km from Kathmandu, but and 8 hour walk from the nearest road. Not surprisingly they've suffered neglect. For the past year life became survival. No money, no food, no medicine.
This village was secluded, they thrived on being a self sufficient community, traditional and content. It took just one day to annihilate nearly every house, school and life.
It's easy to forget, and hard to make a change. But by being proactive with good intent, changes will happen. Together we will make it happen.
I spent a month, with my girlfriend Caroline, travelling remote Nepal. We met many people in this situation. By being there it becomes less of a news story and something more personal.
In Nepal a little will go a long way. 2000 pounds can be life changing and we are going to raise it to help build a medical centre and school in Listi village. Nepalese friends of ours have trekked there to make the plans, now it just needs the funding. All progress will be posted for you to see.
Dig in and make a difference.

8 years agothree peak challenge complete in a little under 22 hours. 10,000 feet of elevation and 24 miles trekking added up to 69,000 steps according to fit bit! a great challenge that had some awesome support from plenty of people and that will begin to make a change to the lives of some of the village people in Nepal. Big thank you to all that supported this event :)

8 years agoMule event challenge was obliterated in just over an hour awarding me with 6th place. This event was brutal, 10k obstacle on very steep terrain and pacing it hard! A few legends that I don't know personally have sponsored me with a more than decent sum of money. BIG THANKS TO YOU

Me and my mate Andy are doing the National Three Peak Challenge, 18th June, to raise money for Nepal - the home of the Himalayas and Mt Everest! This involves climbing the highest peak in Scotland, England and Wales. All in less than 24hours!
