Story
Whilst on holidays in Barbados my Dad was knocked down by a car.
He was taken to hospital where is condition got worse, and has ended up in Intensive Care Unit, where he was put on a ventilator to help him breath because he has developed pneumonia.
Since then he has now fitted with a tracheotomy.
The holiday insurance company have since found a clause in the policy that means that they don't have the obligation to provided an air ambulance to bring him home.
We are now in the process in trying to raise £65,000 to air lift my Dad back home to Wales, to receive further treatment here in the UK

So two months have gone by and the fund raising has been over whelming (I haven't used that word so much but it's true). Dad is getting better everyday and hopefully be back very soon. THANK YOU to everyone that gave, from the small to large amounts, you all have helped to make that distance between us and dad that bit closer. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE CARE AND SUPPORT XXXXX

I live in Barbados and saw the article in the Nation paper. It must be difficult being separated from the rest of the family back in Wales and for such a special birthday trip. I hope this helps.
