Story
On Friday 22nd April, I will be travelling with a convoy from Refugee Aid Network to the refugee camp in Calais to transport and distribute aid to those in need.
One of my primary reasons for wanting to go on this trip, is to set up a partnership with the school in the camp for me to regularly visit and deliver art workshops to adults and children there. There are hundreds of unaccompanied young people in Calais and Dunkirk at the moment who are traumatised, angry, lonely and bored. Volunteers are trying to provide them with activities and schooling and we want to help them with art.
In order to do this, we need to raise as much money as possible to help with the expenses of the trip and to buy and deliver much needed resources to the school. If you can donate even a small amount, I would be so grateful. The money will primarily be used to buy materials for me to be able to do the workshops and to leave behind for the school to use after.
The more money donated, the more workshops we can help with. So please, dig deep!
