Story
I am currently a primary school teacher in Kent creating a partnership with Child Craft Academy in Ghana. Child Craft Academy is supported by Partner West Africa (PWA) which is a progressive, non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO), or charity.
This charity promotes and undertakes collaborative, ethical, international development projects, focused in the main on reducing child poverty and improving access to education for underprivileged children.
The children at Child Craft and Singlewell Primary have been sending letters and artwork back and forth much to the delight of the children. Together, we are collaborating to raise money to improve education opportunities for the children at Child Craft; providing resources and quality schooling. PWA have a clear aim to improve access to education at all levels and increasing enrolment rates in schools particularly for women and girls.
To start this fundraising I am running the Brighton half marathon! Those of you who know me, know I have never found running particularly easy but I am determined to complete it especially for such a worthwhile cause.
Any donations, however small I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you all so much!
